David Abel
is a PhD candidate at the Nelson Institute Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, USA. David’s research focuses on interdisciplinary modeling to assess the air quality and public health impacts of the electric power sector and quantify the potential for clean energy technologies and policies to co-manage climate change, air pollution, and health. His research has focused on the U.S. and Republic of South Africa. David is completing a PhD in Environment & Resources (emphasis in Energy Analysis and Policy). David also received a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Studies and a joint MS in Mechanical Engineering and Environment & Resources from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
