Laura Hanson Schlachter

PhD Candidate


Laura Hanson Schlachter is a UW-Madison PhD student in economic and environmental sociology with a Master in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.  She studies grassroots movements to create more equitable and sustainable economic institutions.  In 2016-17, she is working with the Democracy at Work Institute to conduct the first national survey of cooperative employees and worker-owners.
